one-man exhibition was shown from 25th November 2006 to 6th January 2007 at Penlee House, Penzance - www.penleehouse.org.uk. This was to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of the artist Richard Thomas Pentreath in Mousehole. Pentreath was a popular artist for both portraits and landscapes, exhibiting regularly at the Royal Academy between 1853 and 1868. He worked in many media with equal success. Penlee House owns four works by Pentreath - two landscapes and two portraits. The exhibition includes these works, as well as a selection of the artist’s work from public and private collections.
