Pender family from Mousehole in Cornwall

In Memory of Jack Pender, Artist, 1918-1998
(the seagulls still treat artists in the same way - as you can see from the picture)
On the 13th September - 8th November 2003, to celebrate 150 years of the Penzance School of Art,
Penlee House (in conjunction with Penwith College) presented a selection of work by students of the school and by some of the many prestigious artists who have taught there.
The exhibition included work by Geffroi, Colenso, Jack Pender, Gay Sagar-Fenton, Bernard Leach and many other artists.
Jack Pender (1918-1998) - A popular Moushole painter.
Penlee House commemorated his work on the 19 January - 8 March 2008.
Two books have been produced and launched in 2008, relating to the Pender family.

Clift family connection to Pender
The LYONESSE owned by John J Pender is now listed in the Register of Historic Vessels nationalhistoricships.org.uk John J Pender (1891-1984) was her owner and skipper from her launch in 1930 until 1960 and recorded the story of LYONESSE in his book "A Mousehole Man's Life Story".
